Kevin Holland has obviously been working out in the gym, as seen by his performance on Saturday. In a second-round submission of veteran Tim Means, the 29-year-old looked great. The D'Arce choke was used to finish the fight at 1:28 of the first round.
The conclusion rounded off a flawless effort from beginning to end. Holland injured Means on the inside with short punches, hitting uppercuts and right hands in areas where Means has historically had success. Means' takedown attempts were also successfully defended by Holland. He did tumble to the ground in the first round, but he quickly got back up.
About 90 seconds into the second round, a straight right punch wobbled Means, and as he sought to clinch up, Holland leaped on his neck and knocked him out.
"I'm not trying to be arrogant," Holland stated, "but I believe I can submit anyone in the world." "Sean Brady, it appears, is in desperate need of a challenge. That's something I'd be interested in. He wants to fight in August, according to what I've heard. September was on my mind. Sean, if we can work something out, that will be my third fight of the year, and I still have two more fights planned."

Brady (15-0) is the No. 9 welterweight in the world. He lobbied for a bout against Belal Muhammad in a recent ESPN interview, but explicitly cited Holland as a viable option. After being winless in three middleweight fights, Holland is currently 2-0 in the welterweight class. Holland has won nine games in a row since the start of the season, the most in the promotion.
